We parked up at the end of Eastney Esplanade last Wednesday to spend 2 nights there.
We knew the night was predicted to be gusty, so we prepared for a stormy night. With an onshore wind.
Sure enough, we woke up at about 2am with the MH rocked by massive gusts and riving rain, sleep was impossible , even though we were warm and dry.
So we made a plan to run around the corner and therefore get in the lee of some buildings to give us some shelter.
I noticed the wind was too much for the fridge and was blowing the flame out every minute of so.
Now the strange bit:-
We were just preparing for our little drive round the corner , with me in the drivers seat in pajamas and slippers ,surreal enough perhaps , when we haeard voices outside in the rain and wind.
That spooked us a bit , then seconds later a figure jogged past , dressed in all black gear with a flashing red light strapped to his back , very strange.
Who was he talking to and at 3:30am!
We then parked up around the corner , about 5 or 600yds maybe , a lot calmer.
As we parked up we were nose to nose with another MH , in it in the gloom my wife said, "there's someone sitting in the passengers seat".
When we looked more carefully it was a manikin with a mask on , maybe an anti theft thing?
Once re-parked we got back to sleep about 5am
That completed an unsettling night!
BTW, overnight we have an Elefant locking plate in the hab door , and doors tied together and all window alarms active. I also have external shield plates on the door locks and of course the alarm set.
