Agree with this - Standing water allows bacteria to breed over time, the smelly water was most certainly bacteria in the system. The Alde system has a bacteria kill function built in which would take the water to 70’c and kill in the boiler but it won’t fix the tanks.

I put 4 Aqua mini tabs in for each fill . One tab treats 25 litres, its a 120 litre tank

I don't mean to be condescending by correcting you but I do like your suggestion so searched for Aqua Mini Tabs only to find that they are rated at one tab/ltr so obviously not the ones you mean
Subsequent search found Aqua Midi Tabs which are indeed 1tab/25ltrs which I assume are the ones you recommend
I only mention this in case other Funsters go ahead and order the mini ones.

I was going to ask if you had a water filter in your freshwater system - if it's not been changed then it could produce the pong you mention.

But just purifying it seems to have worked so ignore me. I only add it to the thread as an idea for anyone else - and also a reminder to those who do have filters that they need regular servicing.

Does your waste drain pipe have an extension that’s pointing forward so when your driving along air is being pushed into your waste tank and then into the cab
