Rookie guide to Spain (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

i‘m at the start of planning a winter trip to Spain. Probably 4 weeks or so away and thinking we’ll head to the East coast around Valencia. We've travelled in France and been away for a month before so confident on those fronts but I could do with some ecperienced input.

What is the situation with ‘informal’ camping? We’re not big fans of sites and like to stay somewhere for a couple of days before moving on - using sites only periodically for servicing etc. Do they have an equivalent of French aires? What are the laws on (sensible and considerate) roadside stopping? Presumably stopping near the sea is more closely regulated?

Are their any other specific issues/differences in Spain that we should be aware of? Are there any good blogs/guides that we could use to get up to speed?

Please don’t worry about Covid or Brexit related advice. We’ll manage those ourselves nearer the time when the respective situations are clearer.

Well the rules are parking only in proper motorhome places, saying that we and others have parked in other places that are not in the bible ( park 4 night ) and not had any problems, but that could change if there are large groups in one place. Bob.
