Roof vent (1 Viewer)

Hi all,
My roof vent/ window does not wind up unless I push it up whilst winding. It just makes a loud clicking noise. Can I fix this or am I looking at a whole new roof vent.

If its like mine, once it's up you can check the mechanism from outside and establish what the problem is. It does mean getting on the roof though, if your able ?
