none of these links are any good, I want screw bolt type, ie not a point, as it needs to screw into recess space of air, it does not screw into any material, flat end screw. I have been into a RS store, me of their screws work, I even took my vent in with me. I now which I never bought it, looks like ill sell on ebay.

More than toes wet now!
Is it this kind of thing you're looking for (self-drilling screw)?

Or a machine screw like this?

You don't say what model roof vent you have but I did a search on fitting mpk vents and found this

https://www.mpk-kierspe.de/fileadmin/user_upload/Bilder_der_alten_Website/Kontakt-Downloads/en/instruction_42-46_2013-06.pdf

It says for screws

Secure only with pan, or round headed screws (not supplied), 3,5 mm/ head according to DIN ISO 7049 (DIN7981).

A search on din iso7049 (din7981) shows this

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=DIN+ISO+7049+(DIN7981).&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-gb&client=safari

Hope that helps

... maybe its me not understanding but it does give the alternative option of using round headed screws ... the fact that it doesn't go into anything 'at the end' doesn't make much difference does it?
