Roof sealant

On the roof of my van there is a joint strip the entire width of the roof not unlike a carpet joint strip. I think i have a small leak what is best to re seal it? It needs removing and bedding on some form of sealant.

As supplied to most of the Caravan Industry.!!. They also do a 40mm wide strip which is continuous.
