Hope your not walking to town as it took the wife and I over 40 minutes to walk into the town...uphill all the way back:oops:

El Sur is not a cheap site, expect something like 20+ euros a night. But for convenience it is well placed and an easy walk for the reasonably fit. I wouldn't take bikes if you intend to explore the old town, too many steps.

Looking at there web site it looks like motorhome 2 people 9 euros - pitch 5.50
If I have it right ??? Will be looking to wildcamp first tho
Thanks again
Dave
There is a aire in Benarraba in camper contact with a 9 rating which is a bit past Ronda so could have the day in Ronda then move on there.

We stayed there last October, but of course it could be cheaper at this time of year. If you do find somewhere to free camp do let us know. You might be able to find somewhere to stop around the square in the San Francisco area of the town, which is on the eastern side of Ronda and is the first part of the town you reach when walking in from El Sur. Go beyond it and you will hit no MH signs I think.

Look out for the water gardens and well.
They are on the left hand side half way down a side street going downhill. A tiny entrance after a huge ruined villa but well worth a visit. The water gardens are a small irrigated garden with tiled walkway but the good bit is the well that is a stairway carved thru the rock to the bottom of the valley where the river flows. The steps are all uneven, slaves/christians used to fetch the water up in urns, but there are various rooms on the way down to view. All pretty basic but I loved it.
Sorry about the directions but it was a few years ago.

Update, Just booked into El Sur 14.25 a night (1 person) free internet, electric 5 euros but don't need it, will look around for overnighting in Ronda.
going into Ronda on my bike so should be ok
Ta, Dave
