Roller painting fiberglass bumpers (1 Viewer)

Hi has anyone ever tried painting a fiberglass bumper say by roller and were the results acceptable? I was thinking about trying it if it works. Seen it done on boats and it had a great result.

Funny you should say that - I had my boat roller painted 2 years ago - did a great job!

Use a sponge Mini roller, it looks like it's been sprayed. Recently did a couple of steel Lift Doors that another fella had made a complete mess of, they thought I'd sprayed them, when they complimented me on the lack of spray drift- - - -

Yes pretty smooth as to the paint it was an epoxy based international yacht paint

The lacquer is peeling on my front bumper and need to do something with it (it`ll be my winter project)
So I`ll watch this thread with interest

Halfords do a bumper spray paint. But i had a friend who painted his half a million boat with epoxy and a roller, (nice for some) it looked like a spray job. Funny enough I sold my 30ft Moody and got a MH, best thing I did for the family...kids love MHoming.

You're right about epoxy & a roller - polishes well also - did a great job on my admittedly somewhat more modest £6,000 26ft boat
