I'm looking to upgrade the hab battery, it will be an under seat one.
The Roamer is dearer but is lighter. and more Ah, the KS one is only cheaper because of the membership discount also heavier but does have fixing tabs.
How do the monitoring apps compare?
Any reasons for choosing one over the other, I'm being swayed towards the Roamer.

I have a 300ah Roamer fitted since last year no problems and there are two different apps to choose from and the chap who runs it is very knowledgeable also about the cheapest supplier of any Victron stuff.

I think you'll find there are differences in the length of the warranty too. Roamer is 10 years and KS 7.

If the battery construction is of interest to you, KS uses cylindrical cells, I'm pretty sure roamer uses prismatic cells.

Think you will find that the Roamers have better bms than the KS range in both discharge and charge currents also the Bluetooth app seems more refined than that of KS in my opinion even tho I don't have either brand, but have read some great reviews on Roamers customer service and problem solving from their owner Steve Kennedy.

Some say prismatic is better for slow discharge rather than heavy currents ?
and some say that having 4 prismatic cells in series rather than several banks of cylindrical cells means that if one prismatic cell fails you lose the whole battery instead of just a small part of it. Also that cylindrical cells are more stable and can dissipate heat better.

I don't know how the KS app compares but the Roamer one is fine for SOC, charge/ discharge rate and cell voltages. It doesn't show changes over time in the way a Victron shunt can but I haven't found that a problem. The range of the Bluetooth isn't great, I have to be within about a meter of the battery to get a signal but not a big deal. The longer I have the battery the less I find I need to check it as I have so much more capacity than previously ( 2 X 90Ah lead acid to 1x 230Ah Roamer lithium). Roamer do respond very promptly to queries but I've heard the same for KS.
