Road Tax for 2018 VW Transporter T6 Camper

About to buy one of these, can someone tell me what the road tax is going to be.

If its a California, its £490 a year

and even if it’s not a California......you could fall into the £335 tax supplement for the first five years, if it’s list price is over 40K trap, as it was registered after 1st April 2017

I hadn't realised the tax was so high as previously had older vehicles. I'm hoping that the supplement won't be payable as at date of first registration in 2018 it was just a van and it's list price would have been under £40K. It's only just been converted, and the price I'm paying is still under £40K. Does this sound right ?

Yes.....hopefully then you get the tax concession of it being a PLG van.

It might be too new or had it’s classification changed......But it’s possibly £275

My T5, when I had it, was always classed as a private car (it was a crew bus with a bulk head behind the three back seats originally till I converted it) and that cost me £420 at the time as I didn’t get the PLG tax reduction......more than my mates Ferrari
