I learned today the sad news that Billy died a few weeks ago. He fell ill while out in the van went to hospital for 3 weeks but passed away 5 days after he came home.

If you didn't know Billy, well that was your loss, a lovely man, always so happy and enthusiastic about travelling in their beloved van. He was still driving him and Gwen around in the van aged 90! Very sad, I can't remember ever seeing Billy not holding Gwen's hand, She relied on him for everything.

I was very pleased to learn that Gwen has been found a place in a retirement home very close to their daughter. RIP Billy, you were an inspiration.

We are so so sorry to hear this Amanda was only chatting to us about them the other day. we have had the pleasure of spending time with Billy & Qwen as they often camped next to us. Amanda used to rattle away with Qwen & Billy whilst we would all enjoy a cuppa or two. The last time they came to a Fun meet was this year at Peterborough in April
Sadly due to marshalling they were not camped next us and we didn't get to spend time with them, we helped Park them up and helped them get sorted as he had a problem with all the food and fluids falling out of their fridge. We left them in the capable hands of young Ritchie who helped them throughout the weekend. I believe they were the oldest Funsters that we have on Fun such a lovely couple. We shall miss them . Our condolences to their family. Its comforting to know Qwen is near her daughter. RIP Billy + God bless Qwen x you will be in our thoughts.

Oh that is really sad, what a lovely man as Kate said at Peterborough we spent some time with them and Richie & @Brendan were keeping a eye out for them. Good that Gwen has been found somewhere near her daughter.
