Rimor Sailer 645 2.7 TC fixed rear bed on Mercedes chassis and engine.
Hello All, Season's Greetings :)

Our Arsinicill (or similar spelling) digital control panel appears to be malfunctioning and the navigating buttons appear to cause it to either show the time, or turn off. Pressing the short cut switches along the bottom cause the display to emit a high pitched buzzing noise for a second - then it shows a crazed pattern of all possible symbols - then goes blank.

It is currently hooked up to the mains but I can't make the panel display the 'exterior supply on' option, although all lights and boiler and pump seem to work - but am not sure if this is off the battery or off the mains.

The display worked perfectly on its first an so far only run out for a weekend, in October, now it is dysfunctional. It has not moved off our drive since then.

A new unit even if I can get one for this 2002 model, is apparently not much short of a grand I read somewhere online. But then someone else said to access the external battery hatch, find, by feel, some kind of on/off rocker switch, turn I this off then on again, and this should apparently rest the display.

Any sensible suggestions would be most welcome fo this non-electrics newbie to motorhoming.

Hi, I have been having horrendous problems with my 12v electrics on my 2001 Rimo sailer. Control panel lights all over the place. I had a mh electrician look at it and he thought it was either the control panel or the ceiling power hub. Both very expensive items if sourced from Italy. I managed to find a power hub in the UK for about half the italian price but it made no difference. I have now sent the control panel to Arsilicii for them to test it before I commit to over £300 for a replacement. Currently somewhere in the italian postal system. Problem is getting someone in the UK that's able to test these components . It appears there's no simple answere. Unless someone else out there knows better?

Strangely I did find their website last night. So if Arsilicii cannot help me I'll give them a call. It's not knowing exactly which component may be faulty. It'll cost either way but the M/h is pretty useless without half the 12v working. Will update you in due course.

Hi @TI did you get any further in your researches?

My Rimor Sailer has been plugged into the mains at home but the engine battery failed to charge and is now completely flat.

Is this because my digital control panel, which is malfunctioning, stopd any charge reaching the batteries of you can't select on the conrol panel the option for accepting an external charge?
