Has anyone done this part of the Coast to Coast walk using their motor home as base?
I would like to know of places to stay on route. We are planning to do this in October and think we can do between 10-12 miles a day so any recommendations gratefully accepted on places to stay.
Also ideas on how to get back to MH at the end of the day

We based ourselves in Whitby. Used the bus service to take us out along the coast and then walked back to Whitby.

Am I correct in thinking you mean Richmond (North Yorks)?. If So, I did the Lyke Wake. Back in the 70`s with my 2 Sons for their Queens Scout awards. That was in May. Don`t think I`d like to do it in October though?.

I've often thought about doing a walk like that. My idea was to find CLS and take public transport to the start or end of the walk each day moving the MH every 2 days. We had a friend stay on our driveway a couple of months ago she did the coast to coast and her husband drove their pvc as a base but she did 30 miles a day!!!!!
