Out for our first trip in our new MH and the kitchen sink is taking an age to empty. Is this normal?

It's never going to be as quick as at home. Are you level? Does the shower drain quickly?

It is normal for the pipes to get gunged up. See if you can see any tight bends. Use a drain cleaner/unblocker but with care!
Edit : if new rather than new to you, pipes should not be gunged up, however worth checking the pipe run for kinks.

I try to remember to pour clean water down each drain after each trip but even then any gunge lining the pipe will dry out over time and then flakes off to potentially block the pipe.
Apparently a Coke type drink poured down each does wonders.

Most sinks are slow in motorhomes...
BUT the ones in our Euramobil literally suck the water down..sounds like a aeroplane toilet...can't believe me eyes..

A lot can depend on if you are off level.
I found it makes a big difference to speed of sinks draining.

Usual problem (if it isn't bunged up) is that there is little immediate "fall" to the waste pipe, caused by the very tight spaces available to route it. If you look under your sink at home you'll see it slopes away quite quickly, giving the waste water a boost which in turn "sucks" the rest away.
I can usually encourage the flow by giving the water a quick swirl with my fingers around the plughole which seems to give it momentum.

But on returning home from our last trip, we stopped for a lunch break and noted that the washing up water suddenly drained very quickly - all over my feet! The waste pipe had detached from the plughole!!!!!!!!
