On checking the van prior to its mot I discovered the reversing light isn't working. Bulb is fine and I wasn't sure which fuse but F31-F35 are ok. so this points to reversing light switch. Managed to get one from gsf. I'm lead to believe that the switch is top left of the gearbox and can be accessed by removing the air box (3.0 x250)?
Can anyone assist please.

It is fairly easy to do. As you look at the front of the motor it is on the front of the gearbox about a third of the way down. Remove the top of the air filter container, remove the air filter and you can look over the top of the container and see the switch. you may find the spanner size is different between old and new.

I changed mine on an older one the other day & it is quite easy with the air intake out of the way but I'd also check that it isn't just the connectors need cleaning & reftting.

Before undertaking a bigger job, have you checked that the bulb is contacting properly? Our reverse light wasn't working and the cause was minor corrosion, easily sorted out with a bit of emery paper.

Was a newbie, now a Middie.
Just leave it, and get the wife to walk behind you with a torch. Much cheaper, and you get to laugh. (y)
