Has anyone fitted one of the cheaper reversing cameras advertised on ebay, ( £20 - £40 range)? Are they any good? Any particular recommendations?

Being a German van just pop the cover at the back of the centre rear cupboard and I expect you will find the cables and the camera will just plug in.Has anyone tried a wireless type. I have a dual camera fitted but one camera has packed up. I suspect I'll need to dismantle the rear wall to get to the existing connections.

Normally with Hymer group van, if factory fitted, the cables with sockets on the end are near where the camera cable comes through the rear wall.Do you think? That would be handy.
I assumed they would have fitted the camera cables through the back wall and pulled them (and the joints) tight down inside the back of the paneling.
I'll have look later

Number plate ones are all plastic - blackProblem with the cheap eBay ones is the brackets are steel and you will soon have rust marks down the back of the van, better to pay a bit more for one with a stainless steel bracket.

... or use the existing bracket but take it off and paint it so it's got a good protective 'coat' on it to prevent it rusting ....Or wait for this one and meanwhile make a stainless bracket?
