Reversing camera (1 Viewer)

reversing camera -can anyone help please- WAECO PERFECTVIEW CAM27 all i seem to be able to get is mutiple virticle colored lines on the monitor.

camera faulty maybe....or poor wiring connections.

installation instructions say to tape all joints/plugs/sockets well so sounds like the wiring plugs aren't waterproof.
