I'm keeping that. It'll be handy even if I never use it.
Hello,
I've got a problem with my reversing camera not switching to the down view camera when in reverse.
It's a Waeco Cam44 perfectview dual camera. ( but not so perfect at the moment :( )
It fails to show the video from the down camera 9 times out of 10 when switching views.
The same happens when either selecting reverse gear or the c1/c2 button on the screen.

I took the camera off the back of the van and plugged it back it to the connection inside so I could see the shutter operating and the video screen at the same time.

I've noticed when the down camera fails to display and then if I press/wiggle the shutter a bit the down view becomes active.

So I assume there's a micro switch or some sensor inside the camera that isn't detecting the shutter position correctly??

Has any one had this issue? I think it's probably going to be sent for a repair.
Thanks.

I think these cameras are known for bad wiring connections. Mine had intermittent fault, went to a different brand of camera and monitor.

Don't think they were a "Brand", just bought at one of the shows.

I dont know, but the WACO camera on the Rapido threw its hand in. The cost of repair was greater than a complete NEW twin camera rig. One guy at Peterborough, told me that the electronics in Waco systems come from China and are no better than kit much lower down the cost scale.
