Have been thinking of having mable reupholstered for a while now as the cab seats and curtains are badly faded and the rear sofa is starting to go the same.

I have around 8 large top quality leather skins left over from my vw days so I'm swaying towards doing her in 2 tone leather black/ brown.

Got a woman from a local caravan upholsterer s coming tommorrow to give me a quote :)

Anyone on here got 2 tone leather in their van that has pics handy?

I'd quite like a few pattern ideas

Got a quote of £650 to reupholster all cushions and cab seats in 2 tone leather

I'm supplying my own leather :)

So hopefully a few weeks mable will be transformed :)

Am not a lover of full leather, cold in winter, hot in summer. Unless of course you own an RMB with heated Isringhausen air RMB makeover 011.JPG RMB makeover 018.JPG RMB makeover 009.JPG RMB makeover 010.JPG RMB makeover 017.JPG

I did have the old RMB updated with half leather, turned out quite nice I thought.

That looks lovely Snowbird ....big difference to that one on ebay

I've opted for the full leather purely as I already have the skins and it's easy to keep clean and shouldn't fade as bad

But I've also got good heating in the van so should be fine

Half leather is the way to go. With full leather you can't keep anything on the seats without everything flying off when your on the road. It might look good but that's all. Light coloured leather doesn't take to kindly to biro ink either.

I don't leave anything on the seats when driving.

That's why I've gone for black and brown :)

We went for the two tone leather option and are really pleased with it. We don't find it cold in winter and it's so easy to keep clean unlike the fabric upholstery we had previously. It was done by Careavan.

That's actually very similar to my layout and your cab seats are similar to how im having mine done , I have black for the sides and brown up the centre
