Interesting thread. Thanks.
I see you can open an account or register for PLF and details will be kept for 6 months in readiness.
Handy if I understand it right.

I have a Randox day 2 pcr ready to use on return.
The instructions are to NOT register the test until you have preformed it.
I do have the order number of the test. So I guess I use that.
Also struggling a bit with pcr in Spain prior to return via Santander ferry.
Can be tested in Cordoba at 10.30, but although that will be 3 days before embarking on ferry it will strictly be 76 ish hours or 79 hours before ferry due to leave
Can also be tested in Santander, but a bit squeaky bum as not open until 12.00
Ferry leaves Monday and I shall be in the mountains away from any open chemist for that weekend.

PITA really, but worse case is I bogart the ferry and ride back through France.
You can take the more expensive PCR test If you wish but it's only Advisory a antigen test (lateral flow) is still accepted, in fact if you have recovered from Covit and are not now infectious they recommend the lateral flow test.

You don’t need a PCR to return, a Lat Flow is fine.

As you say, you use the number off your test kit, but you don’t “register“ it until you use it.

I have the free NHS lat flow tests which I can take with me.
As a doctor maybe I can perform in front of them !
I’m guessing it depends on the mood of the guy on the day.

You, as a doctor may be able to get away with it, but it shouldn’t be an NHS test. They want your money, if you are having fun. 😳

You are not allowed to use the NHS ones, got to pay all the tory cronies backhanders.
