Hi all - sorry if this has been asked before, but has anyone retrofitted the new style gas/electric Truma water heater to replace a gas only unit in a 2005 build van?. I have hookup when I use the van for work and its FREE!!!, so i use the freshlight to heat the van and it would be handy to have electric water as well in those circumstance but retain the gas facilities for the odd occaision that the hookup is not available.

i would speak to truama to see how compatible the newer models are but your probably better of with and oil filled rad left on all day if the leccy is free cost of a new heater is going to be a lot of free electric
from what ive read on here the electric heating isnt that good might be worth asking truma if you can add an immersion to what you have for hot water ours doesnt have electric heat but does have 240 water
