There are TWO Retrofestivals this year Newark in June and Newbury in August
please make sure you book the right one


Retrofestival
NEWBURY
10th to 14th August

NO GENERATORS

Club Camping 10th to midday 14th - RVOC will be putting some RV's on
display and the camping area will be directly behind the RV show line.
The price remains the same for yet another year @ £99 for camping and access
to the show and the stages
You have the option of EHU for £30 for the duration of the show - excellent
value, if the weather is good enough for Air Cons to be needed !! Please bear
in mind that EHU will be on one part of the area so if you want to be with a friend
and they want EHU then you need to book EHU as well and please arrive
together - it difficult enough for marshals to park up 50 ish units in short order
without trying to keep areas vacant for others to arrive. Our club area is within the
confines of the show area so some vehicle movement may be restricted at certain
times of the day based on what is happening in the show ring - please be patient
The Show - this is the biggest show that Retro has ever put on - everything is
booked and paid for however if an act or display fails to appear there may be
substitutes which are already to hand. By the way next years show is planned to
be even bigger I am told and the site booked for the next 5 years !!
I am sending out forms to all those who have previously attended - if you have not
received by 21st April please contact me by PM with a current email address.
If you are new to Retrofestival and would like to attend - you will be made very
welcome please PM me your email address and I will forward forms to you?

Following discussions with the organisers there is a RISK that Motorhome Fun and RVOC members may well be able to remain on site at the end of the Retrofestival (Monday midday ) until Thursday mid-day when most will be transferring to MALVERN show. At the moment this is not firm but when you book can you indicate if you would be interested. There will be some minimal cost to this yet to be decided depends on the interest shown as soon as I have some idea on numbers I can follow this up.

Great number of views so far & thank you for the messages & replies Just to clarify Landy lover is in charge of the mammoth task of organising & running both Retro rallies for RVOC & Fun. I'm just helping out on the threads where I can - feel free to post any queries.

Hi Phil yes good point the EHU will be on from Thursday morning some time and should remain until Monday am . HOWEVER if we get enough interest in people staying on then we can explore the extra cost of EHU until Thursday. As this is a totally new aspect to Newbury its a case of flying by the seat of our pants !!. Once the EHU is off on Monday personal gennies would be OK. Retro restrict the use of gennies during the show period only . SO the more the merrier to stay on

Hello everyone .. had message for any solos not in solo section ... this looks like a brilliant chance for solos to get together.

Can you please pm @Landy lover if you are interested.

Retrofestival,I believe there is a separate section forsingle travellers which obviously I wouldnot be able to get into. I suspect you haveaccess. If so can you put a post on thereinforming single travellers that if they PMme to advise that they are single travellersand want to come then I can work out asingle traveller price for them.

Unless we get over run it would be about a fortnight before the event when I shut the books - that will ensure you get your pass before the event.
