Retro fit the Electric Element to a Gas only Truma Ultrastore (1 Viewer)

We have an Ultrastore fitted that is gas only.

Does anyone know if there is a retro kit that can be fitted to add the electric element?

I believe there is a retro fit kit that warps around the boiler like an electric blanket.. how good it is I've no idea.. but there is a similar thread asking the same question and with more info

It is the Water heater.

Interesting thread as it seems that it maybe upgradable.

Also, when driving along the A50 near me, I often wonder if the Truma building I see is the same company.

As the telephone number mentioned in the other post is 01283, it seems that the UK Truma outfit is indeed 10 mins from where we live! :thumb:

Mine was originally one with an electric element. I bought it off a guy who needed an electric element but couldn't find one so he bought the whole boiler:Doh: and removed it.

Mine is the C4002 not sure what yours is like tbh but it is a straight forward job. You would need to get the controller as well which is basically a power switch.
