Not long bought a 1991 Eribacar, on a Renault Trafic base

The whole outfit is in great condition but power steering was never fitted.

Have booked in to have electric power steering fitted by The Green Conversion Company in Stratford on Avon

Cost is £600

Anyone had this fitted?

To be fair though, an electric system that doesn't use any hydraulics should be a lot easier to retrofit so fitting should be way cheaper than retrofitting a hydraulic system.

£600 is roughly 10% of what the van cost me but will improve the drive and parking of it 100%(y)(y)

Looking forward to getting it fitted on Monday, just wondered if anyone on here had had it done

Oh I agree it's probably worth it, just pointing out why it's not comparable pricewise to retrofitting an old hydraulic system.

Hi Vic. Did you go ahead with the power steering from the Green Conversion Company in Stratford? I've just bought a 1990 Eriba Car and would like to get the same thing done. I'd be interested to know if you are pleased with the result.

Many thanks.

Hi
Yes I had the conversion done at Stratford - made all the difference - good service, takes about 4 hours, no problems - no more heaving on the steering wheel when parking

- pleased with my Eribacar as well

Excellent. Glad to hear it on all fronts. I've not been out in my Eriba Car yet. Got to get a few things done on it first. I shall definitely add a trip to Stratford to the list. Thanks for your help.
