Anyone travelling west coast of Scotland \ Argyll be aware The Rest closed again around 08.00 this morning due to another landslide! 60 mile diversion in place.
No idea for how long but last time was for a number of days \ weeks!

I wonder what they can do to resolve this situation as it is steadily getting worse despite the millions spent on it. It seems that there may be a time when the road will be permanently closed.

Here in the South West of Scotland we have a stretch of the A77 that suffers the same problems. Our diversion is only 57 miles. Transport Scotland are reluctant to spend large sums outside of the central belt or the A9. Grin and bear it is the answer.
