What does everyone do to stop their heads exploding when researching things to buy?

My latest powderkeg for my head is ebikes, but before it was grey waste hose to run to the pitch's waste drain, before that it was levelling systems, before that it was gas bottles, etc etc.

I spend hours and hours only to find one person critisising the lack of symmetry in the accompanying manual and I have to discard the top 573 in my "short" list and do it all over again.

I'm glad it's wet out, means the fuse is damp ...

Don't look at reviews...
The object you want will be the " best thing since sliced bread", "can't live without it", why did I not find this 40yrs ago", "absolute crap", "utter waste of money" whit an old load o tat", just thrown away £xxxxx.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The Grey Waste pipe was my head scratcher too, this is until I discovered that the Burstner supplied 3ft jobbie could be made a lot longer by unscrewing the ends and installing a Dyson vacuum flexihose (same size)

Result!

With e-bikes or any bike draw up a short list then go and try them. Impossible to buy a bike you will be comfortable with without trying it.

Only places anywhere near me (or where we're going in the next few weeks) only seem to sell the 3 squillion pound ones. I know it's risky, but I'm going to be buying a bit blind. I'll only have myself to blame for sure ...

Really doesn't work buying blind to any variables too many geometry between manufacturers.
Surely when spending two or three grand on a bike it's worth the effort.
