Can anybody who attended the Peterborough weekend give a report as to access in the evening music venues around the Covid restrictions. For instance were there any issues re getting into any venue due to numbers of people.
We are heading to the Warners Stonelegh weekend in two weeks which his now a sell out.
Now as it is likely Boris does not lift the restrictions tomorrow, that would probably then still leave any limits to numbers allowed into the music halls.
Just would like to get a heads up how this weekend went around any issues of "no we are full'

Thanks

Hard to say unless you know for certain the numbers at the show, the size of the venue and the popularity of the act. We went to see MoonDogs on Thursday. Well spaced out tables, limits of 6 to a table, Bar outside with long queues but plenty of space. We found a table near the stage.
On Friday there was a cabaret/party band, same set up but much more popular and there were only seats available at the back of the arena by the time we got there. No problems getting in but bigger queues for the bar.
Saturday we didn’t have tickets but I’m sure it was well organised, I heard no complaints.

Tables of 6 seats. Well spaced out between each one.
Masks to be worn when away from tables etc.

Agree with Robbie. We had heard a whisper that even if you had tickets for the Saturday you might not get in so we queued early. By the time the show started there we seats available (two on our table of six not used)

To be honest Covid guidelines were not being taken overly seriously in the display areas either. Hand sanitiser was available on many stands but not being enforced.
If I'm honest I think that is the way forward. Have the option available, masks indoors but let people weigh up there own risks. If, as it seems, restrictions are staying in place my anger is with anti vaxers and scientists who want total eradication.

Had a conversation with Warners this afternoon around numbers. They informed me that they had sold pitch tickets for the show based on the May 17th Covid guidance and not the anticipated June 21st rules. As we know these rules were not relaxed this evening. Warners thus have only sold half the pitches that were available and thus the entertainment venues have the scaled back numbers required. They are of the opinion that the availability of seats and distance requirements will be within the continued Covid guidance.
They clearly are like the rest of the events industry more then p****d off as they were about to put on sale all the other available pitches as from tonight if the guidance was dropped.

We are still looking for tickets for 1 motorhome and 2 adults for Stoneleigh.
Friend of our contacted Warners they are having a meeting later this week with council and public health to see what the requirements / restrictions will be. The entertainment as of now Tues 15/6 is still going ahead.
