Replacing Fiamma awning fabric with Primrose

Hello and hoping someone can help me.
I’ve a Fiamma F45S 300 manual awning.
I’m wanting to replace the fabric.
Primrose supply a replacement fabric which looks ideal, however, according to Fiamma, the actual fabric width is 292cm.
Primrose’s 3M awning is 287cm.
Has anyone successfully used a replacement fabric from Primrise? Did you go bigger and cut to exact size? Or did the 5cm shortfall make no difference?

I don't. The original is folded over a cord at each end then slid into the roller and front rail in the same way as a caravan awning slides into a keder rail.

5mm cord IIRC

Why not buy the genuine article and avoid the uncertainty of whether it will fit.

The fabric range offered by Fiamma is a little bland. Mine is perfect condition but I like colour. Fiamma is dull
