Just starting out..
Hello folks,

My 2005 Hymer 644 (Fiat Ducato base) is looking a little ragged, with various bits of trim having been bashed, cracked and abused (before I acquired her though!). I was wondering if anyone knows where I might find replacement trim parts? I've got hold of a replacement stop & tail light assembly (£45 on eBay) which just bolted on.

This one is front near side, held on by 3 screws.

This is the offside rear.

Any suggestions gratefully received!

Thanks in advance

There is a HYMER owners forum on facebook that should be able to help you, l am in the process of joining it myself, but only to try to sell my van.
Best of luck.
Norman.

Hello Norman,

Thanks for that - I'll have to ask Maeve, as I'm not on Facebook.

I'd still be interested to hear from other MH owners or anyone who has had to replace similar trim bits.

All the best!

Martin

the cracks can be plastic welded, but the missing part will need rebuilding with fibreglass.

Hello Big1, I have the missing part, although it is somewhat mangled. Ideally I'll find a complete replacement (that doesn't cost more than I paid for the van) but I will certainly look out for plastic welders. Is that a service that is readily available, and if so, where would I go looking??

Cheers!

Martin

Hi Martin, google plastic bumper repairs in your area, they all do plastic welding. if you have the parts they can work miracles

It isn't getting posted anywhere at that silly price, free P&P or not. It would be better to 3 D print my own replacement.

Most parts are caravan parts you will find I just rebuild the part out of fiberglas and filler
I am not home at the moment but I have a product that's be om my best frend it works fantastic on broken plastic bumpers and trim
