Replacement part prices

Have a look on Baileys parts site for a washing up bowl or Dometic fridge salad crisper drawer and be ready to fire up the defibrillator.

You would have a real shock if you looked at the price of Swift parts.

Dealer had a box of them, said yea! they break all the time when the door is opened too wide, we replace em under warranty normally, but your van is past its 2 year warranty. Sorry!:crying:😭

I confess to being flabergasted at the exhorbitant prices to a captive market. There are times when reason can identify handling charges, storage of parts no longer manufactured, of large or heavy items but some of these items have prices that beggar belief. I heard of others where people actually had parts manufactured themselves to decimate the price or used a 3D printer to make their own parts. Profit, yes but profiteering leaves a bad taste. Perhaps the manufacturers could indicate to buyers how reasonable replacement parts for their models could be.
Sadly it aint going to happen.
