Wanting to replace our island bed mattress, not sure whether to go for a traditional sprung type or a high density foam one. Any thoughts or recommendations of manufacturer or supplier. Thanks.

You will get plenty of opinions, not all agreeing, but for me you can't beat a good quality pocket sprung matress ..
I bought a Vi-Spring mattress for our RV when we lived in it full time, 2008 .. it is now on our bed at home.. and as comfortable as it was when new.. no sagging or wear in 6 years ..

not cheap but you get what you pay for ..

Buy a cheapish sprung mattress, then a 3' foam topper.....BRILL. (y)(y)
