In the event of changing my two leisure batteries on my 2015 AS Kingham can anyone advise me if l need to isolate the solar panel beforehand (if so how?) or can l simply swap the batteries for new ones and not worry about said fixed solar panel.
Advice would be most helpful please.

As above, to save possible damage to regulator isolate panel first. I normally fit a fuse in line.
Then swap batts and reconnect to solar

i was told to disconnnect + from the solar panel at the solar regulator change the batteries and then reconnect +at the regulator

Cover solar panels or disconnect them at night, I believe it’s not good for regulator to disconnect when under load.

Many thanks, but, and sorry to be unclear but where would l find the solar regulator or what would it look like please?

Usually it's a small box with input from panels, output to battery, and maybe a couple of 'load' terminals that are never used in motorhome usage. It looks like one of these:
Amazon product ASIN B01MU0WMGTHowever the fact that you're asking may mean that the solar controller is not a separate unit, but is built into the 12V distribution box. If you can't find the controller, what make/model is your distribution/fusebox?
