Just in case it helps someone else . . .

We managed to crack the rear driver’s side quarter window on our 2011 Symbol at the beginning of July. Finally got it fixed on 28th Sept.

Autoglass, although pleasant to deal with, didn’t have a clue and after 3 abortive appointments and many phone calls/web chats I contacted Auto-Sleeper who suggested Jez at Auto Glaze Solutions in Worcester. (https://autoglazeworcester.co.uk) Brilliant chap - quote by return and could source and fit within a week.

Fortunately our insurer agreed to foot the bill (wasn’t cheap as we live a 4 hr drive from Worcester) and I had to pay ‘up front’ then submit invoice for payment but the correct window (including privacy tint which Autoglass refused to do) was fitted at the house within an hour.

Autoglass, in my experience, are fine for windscreens but if you have a side/specialist window I would definitely recommend Auto Glaze Solutions. (Apparently they do most of the original factory side window fitting for new Auto-Sleepers)

Looking forward to travels next Spring now and . . . no more strimming near the camper van 🙄.
