Hi
I have a Rapido 9090,A class it’s got a fixed table but quite like the idea of being able to remove it when not in use as it takes up a lot of space.
Don’t really fancy having to un bolt it every time so was wondering are the poles a standard size and do you reckon it’d be a simple fix to buy another table but a removable one and stick it in the hole.
Any ideas
Cheers all

I'm sure it could be done but have you thought of just replacing the top itself with a removable one, one large for eating off and a smaller one for putting cups etc on? You could leave the pole as is then.

A quick search for rapido table yields

They are a pain especially when wanting to work in the cupboard under the seats.
The table mechanism is as almost as big as the folded table. If it is shown to be a doddle i'll be doing it.

Not a Rapido but I have recently removed the fixed table from my Pilote and bought a free-standing table that will also be usable outside. Removing my table was a simple matter of six screws in the floor and eight to separate the table top from the leg, made a huge difference to the available space and gained additional usable weight also should we need it as the replacement table weighs six kilos as opposed to the original tables 22 (y)

I'm a newbie and always will be. You never know it all.
Again not a Rapido but this is what I have recently done in my compact line.

I have not yet tried it out in earnest but I bought the table brand new off e bay (still in it's sealed plastic wrapping and box) for £19 50 (y) result! so nothing lost.
There are only two of us and most of the time just me but we have a very lazy Chocky Lab who likes to take up the majority of the floor space.
The table can be moved nearer the galley for food prep and used in conjunction with the
drainer when washing up etc. I have also removed the angled side seat but am unsure how I am going to finish that area off at the moment.

Thanks all
I reckon it’s coming out. Only the two of us so a wee folding table will be going up in its place.
Thanks again

I don’t use my original table either purely due to weight. I now just take a couple of TV dinner tables (1 per person) and at approx £10each no issue if it gets damaged. Can use inside or out and no problem with storage.

Do you have a link to the supplier of your table please?

I assume it was like the above originally, you could hang a 'cloth' bits & bobs holder on over the remaining seat back, the type with numerous pockets in which I'm sure would be very useful ... as for the gap near the door on the floor, that's a perfect place for a dog toy box!

I got a circular kitchen table many years ago from a car boot sale costing £3 and just used the top of it, cut to size and put some edging tape on it, since then it's been adapted and used in a few MHs/campers and is currently in my Carthago as the original table top was too big. I have a permanently fitted plastic table cloth on it so it can be easily cleaned and for when we actually use it for eating another plastic table cloth cut to size goes on top. I'd like to reduce the width but as our table has a sliding and swivelling top mechanism this dictated the minimum size so I can't alter it any more and hubby likes it too much for us to take it out altogether (he likes to spread out when he's cooking etc!

Just took out the old table
Weighed about as much as a ford escort !!!!!
6 screws now got a hole where the pole used to be , a wee rug over it will sort it out of sight and all that
Got a fold up picnic type table from a pal, just sanded I and oiled it.
Fits fine and can be put in garage when not in use
Thanks for all advice
Cheers

Good to hear you're sorted ... don't forget an 'after' photo of it in situ.
