I’ve one of those stupid tech towers in MH, the oven is about a much use as a chocolate fire guard but has managed to warp the plastic trim above. I’m thinking of replacing with this

Can I, How, though? Would it be swapping Peter to pay Paul. Or would it be better to have it as a stand alone. I’m concern about wattage at w1300, but also about the heat generated, due to warped plastic( who puts plastic trim above an oven - Hobby! Can someone advise me please

Most of those type of cookers get ridiculously hot, probably a lot hotter than the TecTower. Our TecTower oven is working quite well since the hinges were changed.

Thank Lenny, I think before I asked I knew the answer. Had hinges replaced a few years ago, hasn’t made an iota of improvement. I don’t use it now, just the Remoska, just sometimes it’s not big enough.

we have taken ours out by default, when our tec tower fridge failed we bought a new fridge freezer that is the height of the whole tower

taking the oven bit off the top is not at all easy and would virtually write off the fridge bit below, especially as ours had the oven controls on the fridge control panel

we have bought an oven similar in proportions to your link but one that runs off the little gas canisters, I ill try and find a link to either the oven or my thread where we changed the fridge, not used it yet but are away this weekend, first use of new fridge and first trip without an oven, although we will carry the new one in the garage just in case

I didn't buy the oven from this supplier, got very lucky on ebay, found one for under £50 (y) brand new including delivery :)

edit, just looking at your link and mine, they might just be the same beast with different badges, will let you know how ours goes this weekend, we didn't think till it arrived, but it does have a sticker saying for outdoor use only

Apart from the hinges we never had a problem with our tec tower, it certainly didn’t warp anything around it.

Although we have an oven, it is mainly used for storage. If an oven is required we use our Skillet, which we have yet to be able to improve on.
The heavy power consumption (1400watts) would mean our being tied to campsites and that would never do.
