since 2006 ( I think ! )
Some ( most ! ) of our Remis blinds have become a right pain over the years
The pleating has become 'weak' so they are a right pain in the bum to get to go back in the box so to speak
Is there a way to redo the pleating ?

Just pleat by pleat I would have thought?

Been such a big response, sorry if I missed someone out with the thanks LOL !!

People don't like to talk about it, some have opened their mouths a been found infested with novichok.

It's called pleat fatigue, don't say I told you. You can find it in The Dark Web. Some say it was invented by Swift and distributed to infect EU vans.

Can't suggest anything we've actually tried, but thinking along the lines of slightly damping tehm with a soft spray (maybe a starch spray like you use for your marcella evening dress shirts) and then refolding??

I was just going to say that if they have lost their stiffness then how about trying some of that starch spray that you use so liberally on your under shreddies and (so I am told, tutu) as above. Or a dilute viagra solution....

That was the first thing tried..
problem is, what are th made of ?
are they paper based or plastic?
I am now thinking plastic so when we get home I am gonna whip the assembly off completely, and while the blind is in the shut ( fully compressed ) state, warm up ( a lot ! ) and let cool.

Are these windscreen ones that hang vertically.

If so I usually push the top back first so it kind of gathers and this helps them to concertina back correctly.

John, I seem to remember that you can buy special special roller blind stiffening spray.

just as examples. Might these work?

I tried the starch trick after someone on here recommend it.
Worked up to a point, but then I left blinds closed for a couple of weeks and the starching made them reluctant to go back to folded
Maybe I should have left them folded up for longer, but I was afraid they might stick together (they didn't)

I repainted ours but I think I’m giving up trying to “re-pleat” ours due to to the various problems, and the replacement cost is prohibitive, so I just (very carefully) just “gather” them up prior to closing them
