Renewed Driving Licence

My wife will be 70 in August, but had not received a renewal reminder from DVLA.

She still had a paper licence from when we moved to our current house 35 years ago.

Since then we have changed the name of the house, and the Post Office renamed the location from #### Road, to #### Street!

Despite that she applied online, last Saturday 11th, electing to use her passport photo, and the new license arrived in the post today, 3 working days later!

All address details now correctly updated.

Not a bad service.

I had a senior moment last week. Used my Driving Licence as ID when I went to the tip and while in the queue looked at it and thought that it had expired (expiry date 23/11/2020) (frightening isn't it - I am allowed out on my own). I came home and renewed online, I checked later and thought damn I had renewed it 5 months early. As it happened it didn't matter as my licence expires in Jan 2030 when I am 70 so I didn't "lose" anything by renewing early.
Anyway - new licence arrived 2 days later so a quick turnaround by the DVLA.
