In our Master II 3.0 dCi 140, the front upper control arm bushings (both sides) look to be about 5 mm higher than the housings. Has anyone else noticed the same?

Thanks of asking! Photos attached. I was told that the bushing is the front bushing but to me it looks like the back bushing of the upper control arm. The photos are from the left front wheel. The bushing on the right side of the car looks exactly the same.

Rubber bushes normally have a lip on them to centralise their position, that's why you need rubber grease or that supplied, to squeeze them into position.

Not sure if this applies to yours but I wouldn't be surprised? 🤔

To my knowledge, replacing the upper control arm bushings on both sides takes more than a day, so I would prefer to avoid having them replaced. That’s why it would be very interesting to know whether the bushings on other Master 3.0 vans look the same or not.

The Renault Master 2 is rather prone to worn suspension bushes, any issues should present themselves at the MOT, I wouldn't worry about it until then.

Look the same as mine Tomtre. As above worry about them if ever mentioned at a vehicle check.

I had a renault nine years and nevet failed an mot for bushings
