A bit of all three of the above really.

You can pick one up for £100 to £300 for that year, with an MOT.
Afraid even the A frame doesn't put it above the £500 bracket.

As a matter of interest, what is the kerb weight please.

Well from recent ebay sales I've seen a 98 fiat go for £1200 and a 96 Peugeot 106 go for £1060 with cheaper option a frames

The a frame kit fits up to a 2005 clio so i may just remove it keep the kit for a rainy day and sell the car on its own .....il get £500 for it locally on its own :)

Have you actually put it on ebay. Sometimes things go for silly money on there. I have occasionally bid for second hand items that have subsequently sold for the new price, I think some people just get competitive and lose track of what the items worth.

If you can get that kind of money for everything on E-bay I would suggest that you go for it. (y)

The cars quoted weren't mine im just stating what they sold for in comparison to what I have I don't sell on ebay, but from a quick search on Gumtree I can't see any clio's in this condition anywhere for the money you claim I see them at £750 and £995 without the a frame kit which I see advertised for 4 and 500 on there own :)

Regardless it's not the car for you but it is for someone :)

No I only buy from eBay I no longer sell after experiencing there very poor seller protection from fraud.

Il pop it on Gumtree and if no joy il split it ...i may use the frame in the future but i currently don't need the car as I've 2 others .....i only bought this to try it but found its not for me and have purchased a scooter instead.

I wasn't being dismissive of your pricing, but cars like yours can be bought round my neck of the woods for that kind of money, and I understand that they weren't your cars on e-bay.
I have a car dealer over the road from me who is also a friend, so I get to know what the real world prices are, and have seen the prices he pays and the ones he sells for.
What I was saying is that if you can get that amount of money for what you are selling, then snatch their hands off. I would. :)

Nice condition too Tambo, you've obviously looked after it! Mrs BB has had 3 Clios and never had a problem, still got one otherwise I'd have taken that off you. Glad you got the sale!
It was fairly mint , my cars get pampered whatever they are .....a 17 yr old lad bought it as his first car his dad was overjoyed at condition but didn't need a frame etc so I removed the full kit

I never understood why Renault gets a slagging off, the Clios were and are reliable and very cheap to run.

I have to admit i tend to avoid french cars like the plague as everyone I had let me down so i tend to only buy German but i wanted a cheap tow car to see if it suited me and this was in the right price bracket ...It was certainly reliable for the time I had it :)
