Renault 2.5 Turbo Engines (1 Viewer)

Looking to buy a new motorhome and want to know people's experience with the Renault 2.5 engine, 150 bhp, as used in many Adria's.

Interested mainly in reliability and drivability, not bothered about mpg.

Mine's a 2009 manual. Drives well. The top of the windscreen on a cab conversion is lower than x250 Ducato cab so may restrict your forward vision when travelling down a steep hill if you are tall. Not a big problem. Had mine 7 years and find it a comfy nippy drive.

Run a 120BHP 2.5 on a Dethleffs with semi auto box, easy drive and very economical, recently had a problem with engine management, bad code needed clearing.

Running a 2.5 150bhp renault adria. Runs well very nippy and get good mpg. Have had it go into limp mode twice which showed water in the fuel code. Quick turn off of the key and it cleared.
