    Hi,

What do you use to remove the self-adhesive backing from plastic windows or in my case plastic headlight covers ??

    any suggestion gratefully received ??

Do you mean the residue left behind when you peel the sticky backed plastic off?

I find "Sticky Stuff Remover" works well or alternatively WD40.

Use with a warm damp soft cloth to avoid scratches.

I've always used Methylated Spirit and a NEW clean cloth used very Gently.

Seems to remove the residue quite well.

    hi brian,
i use brake and clutch cleaner sprayed onto a clean cloth.
safe to use on paint and it also removes dried flies and does a good job of cleaning windscreen road film.
