Hi, has anyone removed their fixed table?
I have a Carthago chic c line and we've had enough of the restrictive table in the lounge and want to remove it.
Tried this morning, removed the 6 bolts attaching the bottom plate to the floor and nothing. It feels like its stuck to the floor, like the proverbial to the blanket! Have done this before with a Burstner and was just a case of removing the bolts, as above.
Am I missing something, or am I going to damage the floor if I give a bit of welly?
Thanks

Many members of Carthago Owners Club have removed their tables some with more difficulty than others. Mine was simple and easy. Others seem to be stuck down with some kind of adhesive but with careful manipulation they have all come off

I removed ours and found a table top that fits the existing mounts. We now have a sensibly sized table for two that doesn't take up valuable space.

In the end I couldnt budge the fixing plate to the floor for love nor money.
So as above, I've compromised and fitted a much smaller top to the running gear of the existing set up.

Removed mine two weeks ago. Once bolts are removed, just keep rocking the table until it comes loose. Before replacing the the leg with the new table top, I coated the mounting plate with copper grease, just in case!

Believe me, I'm 92kgs and pretty fit. Dont know what they used on mine, but that motorhome was rocking! God knows what the neighbours thought was going on!
If you get thin piece of Metal and lay on floor then with an old chisle tat index the plate gently it will give way ours was stuck I think by the floor treatment(varnish or whatever they use.the plate will stop floor being damaged.?

Interested in this as we would like to remove our table and replace with something slightly smaller.
Could you guys please let me know where you got your replacement tables from and has anyone a picture to show end result? Thanks in anticipation.

In our Hymer it was the same, bolts out but stuck fast. Gave it some welly and eventually it parted fine.

Ditto with our Hymer, removed bolts and give it some welly. A word of warning put a blanket down as when it gives way it does with some force.

This is the company that many of the Carthago owners have used, along with many Funsters also.
Great reviews, and so many choices.
Good luck

We removed our table top but used the existing podium leg.

The company was marine teak.
We did the same, used the original plinth, and after trying plywood templates we agreed a size and had a 30mm thick laminated table made to our laminate choice and size. They send samples of what offcuts they have in stock. Lamform 01202 892 485 cost about £60 including delivery.
