Hi there,
I wonder if anyone out there has any experience in removing a Smev oven. It is either an OF311DG or an OF311SG.
I would like to add a grab rail (knees getting older), and the fixing points would be through the oven housing. Hence the need to remove it.
I have removed the top and bottom draws and the top draw runners. However, the battens the runners were on, will not come off when their fixing screws are removed. They seem to pivot on a hidden fixing. Is this a fixing or a dowel? I haven't tried forcing them off as I don't want to damage anything.
The reason for removing these runners and battens is to be able to get at the fixings for the oven thermal shield and those for the oven itself.
I realise there will be a gas connection behind the oven but I am hoping that the connection will be long enough so as not to have to disconnect it when the oven is hopefully removed.
Does anyone have any ideas?
