Remove mirror??? (1 Viewer)

Indicator bulb broken in wing mirror, Ford Transit. Handbook says remove the mirrors to unscrew the bulb housing. Is it that simple, and will it all go back together easily? Don’t want to drive 500 miles home without driver-side mirror!

Change the bulb after you get home? That's what I'd do if I was in doubt.

You can invariably find a youtube video of these sorts of things and then decide for yourself if it is a field repair.

I'm with Spriddler, rather 500 miles with no Repeater indicator than 500 miles with a broken mirror.

OK, fixed this problem. FYI anyone who has same 'van, you'll need a small torx screwdriver and a piece of string - the large mirror has a cable to it for the heating, string comes in to tie it up while you fix the bulb!
