Can anyone tell me the best way to remove the covers from Truma analogue controls, so I can swap them out for a CP Plus controller. I believe they should lever off but I don't want to damage the panel they are mounted on.

Surround is just clipped on and will lever off. Internal part is screwed in.

Cheers Clivefrog. It is the 'levering off' bit I'm worried about. I'm not sure the CP Plus will actually fit, and I don't want to damage the wooden panel in case I have to keep using the analogue dials. Any suggestions what to lever them off with to.avoid damage? Do the lever from the bottom, top or sides?

Often the surround just pulls off, dont use much force, it is little more than a friction fit. If stuck, I use a knife blade just under the edge to gently lift one side. This exposes the mounting screws and lets you get the plug behind to detach the control

When I did mine, I removed the 2 analogue dials, by unclipping the outer frame using a flat head screwdriver then unscrewing the 8 torx screws and unplugging the main RJ plug on the back of the dial.

Thanks Pete. Your post inspired me to get the parts and have a go. I am not sure that it will fit, even with the mounting box as I have three truma rotary controls mounted beside each other horizontally. The first is the Truma Crash-safe/regulator heater ( hoping to get a permanent live feed from that). There's is no space between the three controls. I bought the CP Plus mounting box just to be on the safe side. I don't want to damage the wood removing the old controls because if the CP Plus doesn't fit then I'll just keep the old controls until I can get a new wooden panel and then start from scratch.

because the analogue truma controls are designed to fit standard CBE or C-Line frames you can reuse the unused holes with a cbe blank or 12v socket and frame to make it look original

Good to know, cheers

I just use one of those plastic spreaders for applying body filler to pop the surrounds off mine. No hard bits on them to do any damage but thin enough to get under the edge of the surround.
