Hi Guys
Have got an electric roof vent/fan winch appears to have a removable fly screen (see hand grip at top / centre of pic)

However I can’t seem to pull it off.
Don’t want to pull too hard in case I break it.

Anyone got a similar model?

Maybe @sallylillian

Thanks

Might be worth turning the heating on first if it isn't already. Plastic likes to be warm if you want it bendy. :)

Since 2009 with motorhomes several caravans then tents before that.
We’ve got one too. Just pull it Robert. Ralph takes it off to hoover/clean it every now and again.

We have the same Fantastic-vent Robert and yes it does just pull off but it is tight.

You need to apply a push/pull action at the protruding lip bit, once that gives, work you way around the whole screen.

Sorry Robert missed this!! But you have already found out, just a small point on refitting, the lip that is designed to enable unclipping can be tricky to get a finger under if it is placed in a position which is obstructed by one of the knobs, so bare that in mind when refitting. I also have a mesh on the outside which is removed by 4 screws whilst on the roof, but maybe that is because I have a reversing fan?
We use ours a lot in the summer in preference to the AC and find they can need regular cleaning in dusty environments, hot soapy water and a small brush works but be careful as the mesh is not held particularly well.
