Remoska Sale - Lakekand

Thats a very good price for the 2Ltr Remoska Oven, which we have been using at home and in the van when on EHU for over 7 years, very impressed with it.
One thing that I always mention though and I was caught out often in the early days is that with a joint of meat or small chicken, when placed in the oven and placing the oven lid the meat will be very nearly touching the very hot lid & without placing some heat protection like a tin foil cartouche on top of the meat, you will end up with a blackened charcoal crust which will taint the flavour of the meat even after removing the burnt skin.
If you look at the 3rd photo of the lovely whole cooked chicken in The Remoska Oven advert, you may be able to see that it has been cooked using a foil cartouche to stop it catching. The same advice should be given when warming up any pastry items pies, sausage rolls, etc as they will burn if not protected before getting to the required reheat temps.

I have had a Remoska (or two) for many years now and haven’t found anything that won’t cook in one-apart from size of course.
I have a disc of foil, about two or three layers of foil, which I use to stop things burning, one for my cakes which I use near to end of cooking and one for savoury-meats and pastry.
Remoskas have never let me down, and it’s ideal in the van on an inverter!

Sale price £129 (reduced £50 usual price £179)
So popular with serious cooks, just be careful where you place hot lid
Those prices are good but just wondering, are Lakeland getting out of the Ramoska business?
They no longer supply the Remoska Tria? 🤔

They haven’t reduced the stainless steel version so perhaps they are just going to concentrate on that one. They are currently the only UK supplier of Remoska. Mind you maybe they are less popular now with all the airfryer things. I know the low wattage is the advantage for me and it suits my sort of cooking better anyway for most things.

Do they supply Amazon, you can get Remoska from there? 🤔

Probably bringing out a new improved version.getting rid of old stock.

We also love Remoskas which we have had for many years & the stainless steel Dua is the best for our uses but hard to find cheaper as Lakeland are the sole, official import agent for Remoska in the UK & sell via their website, ebay shop & Amazon. Currently can't find anyone who will ship from overseas where they are much cheaper although in the past many of us had some great bargains. Lakeland normally reduce the non-stick version a few times a year so not necessarily an indication that they are dropping it but the Tria was cleared previously. They do have a Refer A Friend scheme - message me or see my Signature section below this post for a link for 15% discount off the Lakeland website. Sometimes they send out discount vouchers for those who sign up for MyLakeland too https://www.lakeland.co.uk/info/mob...kZzEkdDE3NjY4MzYxNTAkajYwJGwwJGgxNTcyNjUxNTUx
Occasionally Lakeland do sell "refurbs" via their ebay shop https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_...re_cat=13036533018&store_name=lakeland&_oac=1 & occasionally that may include the odd Remoska. Their stock is also cleared through this refurb specialist https://www.directvacuums.co.uk/?ga...vATs-lOMmPeOa2hCyCcMK_Mi5WJSt6A8aAjpWEALw_wcB who also have an ebay shop https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/directvacuums?_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l170197 No sign of any Remoskas atm though but please do post if you spot any!

If you sign up to their website they send out 20% off vouchers at least 4 times a year. That’s when I got my stainless steel one. If you use Airtime connected to a credit card it stacked with that so an extra 5% back, it only worked because it wasn’t a second code.

I just wish Remoska would make a deeper pan/bowl version, although even with larger diameter bowl The Remoska Grand at 4 ltr and the normal 2ltr have the same depth of bowls at 11Cms. A deeper bowl would allow even more options and space for meals without having to use a foil cartouche to stop the higher food charring on top .
Plus, I can almost hear the round of applause as I ask them to consider making a temperature controlled model, but somehow I would also guess the manufacturers have considered this but decided not to for some reason.
I did e-mail their customer services to request a future deeper bowl size, but received no answer from them.

I'm certain my Tria has a 4.5ltr bowl, doesn't sound much extra but cooking a reasonable sized chicken would not be a problem.
Perhaps you can buy the larger bowl separately? 🤔

Just measured it, 12 in the centre.

There have been extra deep base Remoska pans in the past so that's something to look out for secondhand - bit rare so maybe put a Wanted on the Classifieds on here - there may be a Funster who has one tucked away in a cupboard ! Some other "Czech cookers" were the same design but with a temperature control on the handle so again secondhand may be the way to go.

Yes it’s the stainless steel one we’re looking for …

12" depth inside the bowl with lid off would be great as it would give so much more clearance between the cooker element and the food beneath, but I am guessing you meant 12" diameter, not depth, am I right?
Thanks

No, I meant 12cm IN THE MIDDLE of the bowl so, only slightly deeper than yours. 🙂

Knew that Lakeland were up for sale but no mention in their social media that they have been sold: "Lakeland was sold in April 2025 through a management buyout backed by Hilco Capital, allowing the founding Rayner family to retire after 60 years"
The Remoska range that they offer is now quite poor compared to before so have emailed the manufacturer https://shop.remoska.eu/vyhledavani/?string=remoska to see if there is any way that us UK customers can buy direct - long shot but got to try!
I have my heart set on another 2L Dua & the 4L :inlove: one that has never been available in the UK.

My ✅ is for you emailing manufacturer not Lakeland being sold …

The stainless steel cooking base pan would be brilliant if sold in the Uk
The 2 litre version is https://www.lakeland.co.uk/27635/remoska-dua-glass-electric-cooker-2l but not cheap at £189.99 - 15% discount possible with a friend referral (see post #11) or a few times a year there have been 20% discount vouchers for MyLakeland loyalty scheme members plus the odd refurb around £90 in recent years.
If you mean just the pan - sadly the Dua stainless steel base it isn't an ideal fit for the other Remoska tops but overseas it can be bought separately.

Yes the base pan in stainless would be much better, we have 2 Remoskas the smaller one and the large one, none have the stainless steel base though, that would be much more long lasting and stainless steel is much safer to cook in rather than the coated base pan.

I wonder if another stainless steel pan would be a good fit for the top, after all the main cooking/ heating part is the top area?

We use an additional stainless steel dish inside the non-stick ones rather than have food in contact with the coating but not as effective or as much capacity then as using the Dua with no extra pan inside.
We have tried, over the years, to find a stainless steel pan that would work with the Remoska oven lid but no joy - would be great if anyone has found one & if so please post!

Just had the 20% off Lakeland coupon through … tempted to purchase the Remoska Dua and sell on our 2l standard one.
