688F367F-4688-41FC-8440-806AB8B256C1.jpeg i tried, and failed, to take up the challenge to crochet poppies.
However I did persevere with knitting some and gathered a bag full of petals. Time today to make up whole poppies. Disappointed to find only 14.
Then I thought I would sew a W on the back of one in remembrance of my Mum’s brother William killed at Battle Loos 1917.
Then I thought........that’s 14 young men mown down, that’s 14 families like my Mum’s left devastated.

    That’s a lot !!!

I’ve forgotten who is collecting them, was it @cliffandger ?

I think @movan might want some. I've got some well travelled to send on when I get to the UK in September.
