No you are right -- I've not been very well latelyAre you well?
A Yorkshireman spending more than necessary on number plates.
had them on 3 of our vehicles for quite awhile now and had no issues.Hi all,
Sorry to bump an old thread but i'm new here and couldn't find any recent posts on this topic.
Are 4d number plates legal? I've read somewhere that they aren't legal and I hear horror stories of people being pulled over and fined up to £100 due to the anpr cameras not being able to read them?
Has anyone had experience of this or got any recommendations of a 4D number plate supplier; or are these more hassle than they're worth?
Thanks in Advance,
SD

I have had a couple of sets of plates from these people. Notb3 or 4D though. The details on the bottom of the plate do not necessarily have to be the plate maker (according to my old transport manager) I put my home postcode on.I did see that on google but the DVLA and DVSA, amongst other Governing bodies, generally all have conflicting information. However, I have just found this supplier who claim that the DVSA also state they're road legal according to their inspection guidelines and this supplier also have a section on their website for all the legislation they comply with so it's seems as though they should be fine.
Not sure if i'm allowed to put external links but for anyone interested here it is, was the 1st result in google for 'are 4d number plates MOT friendly':-
MOT Friendly 4D Number Plates | Compliant 4D Plates
Concerned as to whether our MOT Friendly 4D Number Plates aren't compliant? Check our resources explaining why they are completely road legalwww.jdmplates.co.uk

seems cheap & ideal to me as better than a speeding fine & points?I hear horror stories of people being pulled over and fined up to £100 due to the anpr cameras not being able to read them?
I must see thousands of pounds worth of f8nes driving past me everyday. They should open a whistle blowers website where you can submit pictures of illegal numberplate.Too true!
£100 on the spot fine though for anything that doesn't comply but its a matter of getting caught
