Refillable gas fitted by professional required (1 Viewer)

Can anyone help? Have been to several local caravan accessory shops and no one able to recommend someone to fit gaslow or gas-it systems. Although competent diyer am not able to complete this task. Live clos to Wisbech in Cambs. Thanks in advance for any help

You might find you can't do this , but it really is a simple job much like changing a normal cylinder so couldn't you find a friend or neighbour who could do it for you

Chaser is right. I fitted the gas-it system in 2 hours. They have video's on You tube.

It's a breeze.

They did ours and we are really pleased with it. They fitted a bigger cylinder than was originally there as there is no need to have the handles on the cylinder to lift in and out* - and we were able to stay in their yard overnight. Really nice people and highly recommended.

*their cylinders are designed so the lifting handle comes off - they are held on with a few nuts and bolts. We could have fitted it ourselves but were unsure of drilling through the plastic skirt. A mistake would have cost far more than the system plus the fitting!

Another shout for Autogas 2000. We have just had an under slug tank fitted by them. They dropped us off at the train station. We had a day in York then picked up again and all finished when we got back. A very professional and friendly company. I now can carry more gas than before and fill up much cheaper than Calor. It will also be much easier to fill up in other countries. I would and do recommend them.

calor can be cheap , have you thought about opening an acount with them /
5%rather than the higher road fuel tax .

And another, we had an Alugas cylinder fitted, as stated, very friendly and professional. When we pass by that way we call in for a top up too, it seems easier than on a garage forecourt.

My husband fitted a gas-it system himself and it really was sooo easy. Gas-it staff were super-helpful every step of the way. I really would think twice before spending money having it done for you.
